There is not shortage of nut cases out there who make outrageous claims and issue dire warnings every 5 seconds for the last 50 years. Statistically, some of them is going to be right at some point.
Did you know that you get free Starbucks, non-crafted, refills for free as long as you do not leave the store? I did not. And, I probably spend few hundred dollars buying coffee post buying something else.
I have been short CAKE for a little bit. I made money on it but let it ride because I thought it will drop further. But the market in general bounced and sod did CAKE. Now, I am short and short, i.e. lost some money on it.

I worked in the car business, although I was not as big of a crook/Sales person as the ones you see today. These are trained crooks not just be experience. The one thing you can count on though is things are always changing in every field.
Leave it to the banksters to find a way around any regulations or avoid being subject to the free market, the principle they breach. The interest rate is a problem to all those who, thanks to uncle Sam cheap money, have been borrowing left and right and inflating the heck out of all asset classes.
