The vast majority of oil in the world is used for transportation. Airports traffic can be a good major of the health of the global economy and also oil demand. Plane fuel can only be obtained form oil as off today.
Syria, Lebanon and Cyprus do not usually come to mind when talking about oil. But it seems they have found their fortune as well.
More oil means lower prices. But the question is how much lower. Despite the "peak oil" talk there seems to be new fields either being discovered or being utilized around the world.
