It is not a Mystery

The more complicated it they make it sound, the more you know they are trying to hide the simple facts.  Take the trade deficit for example which has been the talk of the nation since Trump took office.  It has nothing to do with China being fare on unfair it has to do with American corporation greed and utter disregard to the citizens who worship them under the name of capitalism, free market and oh ya, the American dream.

Take a look at the deficit table with China here.  Our trade deficit with China was $436 billion and in 2018 was $878 billion, a difference of $441 billion.  Now take a look at the labor participation rate chart which peaked at 2000 (that is why I chose that year). Unlike what the government, Trump and the rest of the economic trumpets want you to believe, we lost 4% of the work force from 2000 to 2018.  That is 12 million people outside the work force.

Now, here is the simple math.  Let us say on the average these people were getting paid the median annual salary (ref) of $31k.  Multiple 12 million by 31,000  = $651 billion.  These jobs are never coming back and that is why we have deficit.  The $651 billion rather than being pumped in US economy now it is pumped in China’s economy.  Considering the above simple math, we are not doing that bad really.  But let us quit the lies and the smoke screens.

The US will forever be in a trade deficit and will forever grow its national debt till the whole economic system collapse.
